Hey,
I’m Silvia Paizan, a Romanian illustrator currently based in Sjællands Odde, Denmark. This quiet, windy peninsula gives me space to think, feel, and draw. This is where I find peace and grounding, surrounded by sea air and far from too much noise.

My style is a direct translation of what’s happening inside: courage, insecurity, anger, softness—all poured from heart to paper. For me, “getting it right” means allowing myself to feel, to stay open, and to connect deeply with the people, projects, and world around me.

I embrace imperfection and flow in my work. I’m drawn to the quiet details of everyday life and the emotional weight of memory, identity, and human connection.

Movement, mistakes, and play are just as much a part of my process as ink and paper. I believe awkward conversations are where real connection starts—and in many ways, my drawings are like those conversations: a little wonky, a little vulnerable, but honest and human.

All work is personal,
including client work.
Bear with me while I write & draw like nobody’s watching.
Edward Lear's nonsense drawings represent everything I stand for. These inky sketches are a tribute to that.

Why do finance apps always have to be so serious?
Just a mock design to see how my inky drawings of wildflower meadows would work as packaging illustrations.
Drunken hand-drawn bottles, cause wine not?
A quick flyer design & illustration for Birkemosegaard & Matthew Francis Parker.
These are part of my ongoing #inkyportraitseries of humans and their pets—an excuse to keep drawing and bring some joy to people.
Inky mushrooms 'cause they're fun to draw.
I know I shouldn’t pour ink on tissue paper, or hang it above a sink in a (sometimes humid) kitchen. I should paint on expensive paper and build a protective frame around it.
